Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • As a resolution manager (Enrolled Agent or Certified Public Accountant), you will:

  • Be in charge of establishing contact with tax agencies and updating files accordingly.

  • Communicate realistic timelines and interact with case managers on a daily basis with case updates.

  • Communicate with the IRS and present cases on behalf of your clients.

  • Investigate and diagnose a client’s individual and/or business tax problems.

  • Draft solution-oriented recommendations, strategies and arguments addressing specific clients’ tax issues on a consistent basis.

  • Use strong analytical ability to conduct tax related research.

  • Requires daily phone time – with both the IRS and States, understanding client’s individual and business tax issues and advocating on their behalf.

  • Interact with CMs and tax authorities in a professional and timely manner.

  • Manage assigned client pipeline and correspondence with IRS/State authorities.

  • Provide direction to Case Managers to keep resolutions moving forward.
     

    Education/ Experience:

    • EA with equivalent education or experience.

    • Ideal candidate will have a strong desire to develop and grow in the field of taxation.

    • Able to balance a high volume work load.

    • Strong attention to detail.

    • Self-motivated and able to adapt to change.

    • Interact with CMs and tax authorities in a professional and timely manner

    • Manage assigned client pipeline and correspondence with IRS/State authorities

    • Provide direction to Case Managers to keep resolutions moving forward
